The following is taken from the 1905 Nisbet's Golf Yearbook; North Uist (Spelt North Mist) - Instituted 1894; Station at Lochmady Pier, 6 miles; Hon. Treasurer - T D McGregor, Caledonian Bank, Lochmaddy; Captain, A McElfish; Entrance fee, nil and subs 10 shillings; Nine-holes. The course, if in order, is an excellent one, but it has not been regularly played on for some years.
Mention of the club captain in May 1913.

Oban Times and Argyllshire Advertiser Saturday Saturday 21 March 1925; "The North Uist Golf Club held a competition on 7 March for a prize presented by Mr A Macdonald, The Stores. Unfortunately a N.W. wind accompanied by hail and snow experienced, and owing to severe climatic conditions, together with the exposed nature of the course the competition was suspended. There was a gratifying turnout of members."
Competitions played in August 1927; Kildalton Cross; J S Liddell, winner; P E Soutter, runner-up; Ladies' bogey competition; Miss Hemingway; Captain's Prize; J E Soutter.
