Entry from the "Golfer's Guide" 1894; This capital green has not been very long opened but has already established its popularity.

The following is from "Golf" Friday 25 May 1894; Lairg; Nine-holes (good course).

In 1914 the secretary was Jas Ritchie M.A, Oak Cottage and the greenkeeper was John Ross. A 9-hole course at the back of the Sutherland Arms Hotel, with fine views of Loch Shin. There was no entry fee. Subs were 11/6d. Visitors’ fees were 1/- a day, 5/- a week. There were no restrictions for ladies and there was no Sunday play. The station was 1 ½ miles away.
