The first competition for the monthly medal presented by Mr Mustard was played in April 1907. It resulted in a tie between A Leith and W Sinclair, 107-24-83, A Leith won the replay. The lowest scratch score was 86 by W H Cromarty. There were ten competitors.

From the 1914 Nisbet's Golf Yearbook; Secretary - D M Cormack, Widewall, Schoolhouse, St Margaret's Hope; 9-hole course with a membership of 60; There was no entry fee. Subs for gents were 5/- and ladies 3/-; Visitors’ fees for gents were 6d a day and 1/6d a week, ladies paid half fees; Sunday play not allowed; The port at St Margaret's Hope was 10 minutes away.

In August 1922 and 1923 the Sunday school children of the North U. F. Church held their annual sports and picnic day on the Roeberry Golf Course.
