Uig Golf Club, Isle of Skye. (1897 - 1920s)
Founded in 1897.
The club had a Nine-hole course on the shore of Uig Bay.
Oban Times and Argyllshire Advertiser Saturday 7 January 1899 - "The day being dry with a touch of frost, the members of the Golf Club turned out, and a keen competition was played. Three prizes of a few pound of tea each were competed for, which the winners, as decided upon at a recent meeting of the club, distributed as a New Year's gift among the most deserving of the poor in the immediate vicinity of the play ground."
In 1900 the secretary was A Barclay.
Competition played in September 1929.
The club continued into the 1930s.
