Ashaig Golf Club, Isle of Skye, Highland. (1930s)

Ashaig Golf Club, Breakish appears from 1935 and is listed as having a 9-hole course. The green-keeper was J Macinnes. The piers at Broadford or Kyleakin were 3 miles away. The last appearance for Ashaig Golf Club was in the late 1950s.

Oban Times and Argyllshire Advertiser Saturday 21 August 1937 - "Broadford Hall - A very successful dance took place on Friday 13 August to promote funds in aid of the local golf club. The newly formed Broadford Band supplied the music."

Competition played in 1939.

It is interesting to note that the Greenkeeper at Ashaig Golf Club, J Macinnes, was also at Strath Golf Club in the 1930s, which disappeared in 1935. It is probable that it was the same course with name changes.
