Methil Golf Club, Fife. (1892 - 1903)
Methil Golf Club was formed in 1892.
The original course was situated on Shepherd's Park. Due to industrial development the club moved to Leven in 1903.

The April 1897 medal was won by R Gibson, 79-7-72.
In the final of the Greig Cup in July 1897 C Gibson beat J Hynd by 4 and 3.
In June 1899 Mr R Dishart won the monthly medal, beating A Baird after a tie. Mr L Dewar came close to breaking the course record in a heat for the Greig Cup. Other qualifiers for the Greig Cup; Melrose, Hynd, Dewar, Gillies, Gordon, Dishart, A and G Robertson.
In July 1899 the quarter finals of the Greig Cup were played, results; A Hynd beat W Greig by 3 and 1; J Hynd beat J Gordon 6 and 5; D Dewar beat A Gordon 5 and 4; A Baird beat W Brown 5 and 4.
On Saturday 8th July Methil entertained Wemyss. In the earlier match at Wemyss the home team enjoyed a 28 margin victory, but Methil more than made up for that in this match, result as follows.
