Valleyfield Golf Club, Torryburn, Fife. (1918 - WW2)

First appeared after WW1.

In 1923 the secretary was Marshall Prentice, Braehead, Newmills. A 9 hole course in the grounds of Valleyfield House. Amateur course record holder was Dr Millar, 41. Visitors’ fees were 1/- a day, 3/6d a week and 5/- a month. The stations at Culross or Torryburn were a 10 minute walk from the course. Officers elected at the annual meeting; President, J Brown; vice-president, A Lawson; captain, Mr McLuckie; secretary, W Prentice; treasurer, G McKenzie.

In the mid 1920s the secretary was R Clark. Torrie Hotel, Torryburn.

From 1926 to the club’s final appearance in the late 1930s, the secretary was  M McLuckie, 1 Preston Street, High Valleyfield, Newmills. Membership during this time was 120. Sunday play was not allowed.
