Bridgecastle Golf Club, Armadale, West Lothian. (1995 - 2007)
The Bridgecastle Golf Club was set up in 1995 by a local man who had scooped a near £3 million fortune on a lottery win. It was his ambition to bring golf back to the Armadale area by developing a nine-hole course on Bridgecastle Road; the first Golf Club had been set up Armadale in 1907 (see Armadale entry)
Unfortunately there were complications with a proposed housing development and the landowner decided to close the Bridgecastle course in about 2007.
