Sanquhar Golf Club, Dumfries & Galloway. (1894 – 1909)
The club was founded in 1894.
The original eighteen-hole course was situated half mile east of the town between Greenhead Plantation and Ryehill Plantation. It continued at this location until the 1909 when the club moved to its present location.
Report on the formation of the club in October 1894.
The earlier golf course is marked on the 1900 Ornance Survey Map below. Strangely the course appears in the same location on the 1951 Ordnance Survey Map.

The club moved to the new course at Euchan prior to WW1.
The Google Map below shows the location of the earlier golf course.
