Hahnenklee-Bockswiese Golf Course. (1934 - 1950s)

The year of 1934 saw the opening of a golf course in Hahnenklee-Bockswiese, a popular mountain holiday resort in the western Harz Mountains. The course consisted of 4 greens and 5 tees. Three of the four greens were played twice, three times from different angles making up a 9-hole course of 2.220m for gentlemen.

A report from 1935 stated that up to 12 golfers can play a tournament at the same time without major disruptions. Immediately after the war the course was reopened with the help of British forces but closed down during the early to mid 1950s.
