First appeared prior to WW1.
Ordnance Survey Map from the time of WW1 showing the golf course and pavilion. Note the nearby railway station at this time.
Plans to reopen the course following the war.
The secretary was J W Woolley, Trigfa, Benllech, Tynygough P.O, the professional was G Davies and the green-keeper G Jones. A 9-hole course, visitors’ fees were 2/6 d a day, 10/- a week and 15/6d a fortnight. Sunday play allowed. The Red Wharf and Benllech station was a short walk to the course in the early years. Later on the nearest railway station was at Bangor, with a bus service to the course every half hour, this was probably a factor in the demise of the club. Local hotels were the Min y Don and Bryntirion.
