Welsh Border (Bulthy) Golf Club, Middletown, Powys. (1990 - 2015)
The course was laid out in 1990 by Andy Griffiths and Peter Seal. Seven extra tees, designed by Pete Seal, were added in 2010 for a new challenging back nine holes. There was a clubhouse terrace overlooking the ninth/eighteenth green
The Competition Course, known as the Long Course consisted of 9 holes/18 tees and measured 5,682 yards, par 70 with a SSS of 68. White tees – 5,682 yards; yellow – 5,470; red – 5,057. There was also a short nine-hole par 30 academy course.
Welsh Border Golf Club was located between Shrewsbury and Welshpool, on the border of Shropshire and Powys and near the northern end of the impressive Breidden Hills. There were lovely views of the English and Welsh countryside with the Stiperstones, Berwyns, and the Wrekin the stand out features.
The club and course closed in 2015.
