Alice Springs Golf Club, Usk, Monmouthshire. (1986 -2015)
The club first appeared in 1987 and was laid out by the then owner, Keith Morgan.
The courses were laid out on undulating parkland with fine views of the Usk Valley.
At its height the club had a membership of 400.
In the early 1990s the course was passed to family member Peter Morgan.
There were two courses in the 1990s named the “Kings” and the “Queens.”

In 2002 the club was leased to a private company, the courses were rerouted and the names became the “Usk” and the “Monnow.” Unfortunately the company ceased trading at the end of March 2009 and went into voluntary liquidation.
In 2004/6 the professional was was Mike Davies; secretary, A Chettleburgh; Membership of 350.
In 2009 the secretary was David J Rowlands; professional, Stuart Steel; Green Fees - £22 weekdays, £25 weekends.
It was reported in May 2009 that the Morgan family had retaken over the running of the club and courses and had saved them from closure.
Due to financial problems and falling membership the club closed towards the end of 2015.
An auction was held in December 2015 to sell off the entire contents of the Alice Springs Golf Club. Amongst the items to go under the hammer; clubhouse equipment, bar cellar and kitchen appliances ( pots,pans, utensils), mowers and greens equipment, buggies etc.
