Ogmore Valley Golf Club, Nant-y-moel, Bridgend. (1931 - 1950s)
The Ogmore Valley club came into being in 1931 with a nine-hole course at Bwlch-y-clwydd. It was sometimes called Nant-y-moel (Nantymoel) Golf Club.

In April 1932 the Rev. William Brazell achieved the first Hole in one on the course. Rev. Brazell, who was chairman and captain of the club, accomplished the feat on the 115 yard second hole.

In March 1933 the club held a whist drive and dance in the Nant-y-moel Church-hall.
From the Glamorgan Gazette Friday 17 March 1933; "New Golf Captain - At a special meeting of the Ogmore Valley Golf Club, held at the Lesser Hall, Dr S Gordon was elected captain to succeed the Rev William Brazell, who had been appointed the new vicar of Pontlottyn, where he was first curate."
Two hundred people attended the annual whist drive and dance held in the Nant-y-moel Church-hall in November 1934.

The club went into abeyance at the time of WW2.
From the Glamorgan Gazette Friday 22 April 1949 - "Restricted during the war years the Nantymoel Golf Club are getting into their stride again. They have new members and plenty of room for more. Guided by their able secretary, John Griffiths, they are also fortunate in having an active president in Mr W T Chambers. Plans are on foot to run a few novel and interesting competitions in the coming months to create interest for the old and new members."
