Bala Lakeside Golf Club, Gwynedd. (1965 - 2000)

This course first appeared in the early 1960s and was called Bala Lakeside Golf Club. It was a nine-hole parkland course just off the B4403 and adjoined the Bala Lake Hotel. Greens from the recently closed Colwyn Bay Golf Club were relaid on the Bala Lake course.

Report on the new club in May 1965.

Whilst visiting the area recently (May 2011) I noticed that the course had reopened. I believe it is being run by the John Lewis Partnership for the use of its members and guests.
